RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Here we go again!Tough problems require tough decisions. That's what Ford likes to say, but he made the easy decision by shutting down! The tough decision would be to push through like New York which is similar to Toronto in many ways. Deaths would increase, like in any "war", but our businesses, our economy and future mental health of society saved. And, population immunity would be here sooner instead of dragging this out even further. The US today recorded a record 1 million cases and many cities, while increasing restrictions, are pushing through.
No doubt, I expect some pain ahead for the stock (Keg as well and I own that one too). I will keep my position here and only add "trading shares" if the share value really gets hit. Omicron will fade fast and whatever occurs with the stock will be reversed by June. SRV (and KEG) will be back to this level paying juicy distributions and Ford will be gone. Political career over.

But heck Omicron (or rearranged 'Moronic') could very well hit half a million cases a day at some point. It's basically a mild flu at this point in both spread and severity.....so that wouldn't be unheard of. Who cares? Time to move on and get on with our lives. The flu does kill some vulnerable people....it always has. Lockdowns don't work....and the damage in other areas of people's lives it causes far outweigh any perceived benefit they may have. The sheep have become so obsessed with numbers they can't see the forest for the trees at this point. But alas.....none of this matters....other than the fact that this latest move makes owning shares in any restaurant chain in Canada quite unpalatable as Canadian politicians just can't move past their barbaric small business destroying ways and for some reason are obsessed with closing down the places that actually REQUIRE double vax to even enter. Talk about nonsense. I'll be selling my Keg tomorrow if the volume accomodates it and if not I'll trickle it out over a few days....then look for a lower entry once the first quarter destruction is 'supposedly' behind us. I'd imagine some will sell here if the price holds up too. So tired of Ford using restaurants as his whipping boys.

babedinkleman wrote: Why.....like the NDP or Liberals would be doing anything different. Canadian sheep are the problem....and now that Ford has been exposed as a fraud and a libtard the Ontario sheep will have nowhere to go. I seem to remember you saying a year or more ago that you scolded a group of people not wearing masks for not doing their part. I just shook my head. If anyone actually thought wearing a mask was anything more than theatre and a symbol of complying they don't understand what is going on. As for the share price this just means another shitty quarter first quarter and more uncertainty as we clearly can't count on these clowns to not do this again....and again....and again....and again. Even if this is just 3 weeks 'this time' it's effects will be felt for years.

I wouldn't be surprised to see SRV SP badly hit tomorrow. We're in a very different place from March 2020, but there may well be nervous nellies heading for the exit.
