actually yes, Moy mined all the fresh that was possible based on the economics of a contract mining company doing that digging for them. There wasn't a lot left when they went broke based on excessive fresh mining costs, a severe lack of water for processing, and a failed POX plant that was done on the cheap. Current guesses are about $150 mill for Novo to build an effective POX plant to treat the refractory sulphide ore. But running costs in that remote area are likely to be a killer unless the Pog improves further and enough new ore can be found to make it worth it.
