RE:RE:AC will go up as Amicron diminishes

Bigger
Sounds good so you must be smarter than the scientist.  You are using South Africa as the case study.  Average age 27 vs over 41 in Canada and age is the biggest factor.  Also,  early indications in the industrial world are based on places where all the very weak have died already and the ones left are under a protective umbrealla.

That said, the biggest factor is time.  As I have stated before science in every country agrees it is about 2 weeks after infection that you see hospitalizations increase.  It was about 2 weeks ago in Canada cases went wild.  It is about another 2 weeks until things get really ugly hospitalization to ICU and about another 2 weeks until death.

So if you look at most countries outside of  South Africa we are about 2-3 weeks into this as far as massive spikes in cases.  You will not Canada hospitalizations almost doubled in the last few days.  Deaths are increasing but at what rate is still a question.  We should know in the next 2-3 weeks.

Remember, if the rates should naturally be lower whether this version of Covid is weaker or not as we are all masked up and ready.  Old people are all locked down and the really weak are dead if they had it.

Hate being a debbie downer but the science just does not have the answer yet!  Also, there are some great new treatments but none have been approved as yet in Canada though they have been approved elsewhere.  And even when they get approved we have no supply.  Just like the early days of the vaccine we have a 3-6 months lag time to get supply to all our hospitals. This is why we are shutting down expectation is the hospitals will be overwhelmed until help arrives.
