Building the client baseBack on Dec 15
th when the
DirectFood.store arrangement was announced I got side tracked by dufus and his
red herring comment about
delivering to 2.8 million people.
Not Goodwin, not Carson, not me, no one was saying that this would be a million $ revenue stream for NSP, but there are definitely some positives about it:
- more exposure of Natera brand – another company’s social media where Natera is mentioned/promoted/sold
- pricing at retail same as NSP website AND delivery to Greater Vancouver customers currently includes free shipping; they have some interesting “local” items that can be ordered at the same time as Natera products
- they have increased their delivery days to three per week
- margins for NSP higher with DirectFood.store than when a distributor involved
- DirectFood.store is expanding to Victoria on Vancouver Island and to their first location outside of Canada in South Carolina soon - so the business model would appear to be showing positive signs in the Greater Vancouver market
- they deliver to restaurants as well as individuals – easy for small restaurant to add Natera plant based products to their menu
I liked “Canucopes” comment
building the client base; that’s exactly what NSP is doing
:<) As stated a couple times before: IMO once the
manufacturing equipment is installed/operational I believe they can definitely land a Sobey’s type contract
AND will head east.
