DM vs PLTRResiliance said "When looking at PLTR's 1-year chart, I'm quite content with DM's potential. BTW, a $1.15 million contract for DM is the same as a $70 million contract for PLTR. Given that DM has secured nearly $5M in AI contracts, since September alone, that would represent $350M in contracts for PLTR."
Well, it's not that simple, we can't just use a metric of both companies (say marketcap, etc) to project the equivalent revenue for DM.
We also have to look at the cost to do business, revenue from geographic regions (political stability, etc), ease of business expansion, quality of products and services sold, length of history of both companies, cash and debt of both companies.........etc.
Having said that, if we use market cap to project, the market cap of DM is about $US 55 million, PLTR is about $34 Billion, according to Market watch, so PLTR is 618 times bigger than DM in terms of market cap.
So if we really want to use market cap to project the equivalent of revenue, then $1.15 million DM contract will be equivalent to $710.7 miilion PLTR contract.
But I would not use this method to evaluate stocks.
According to the author of 'How to make money in stocks', William O'Neil, if a company has accelerate revenue/earning growth, that is the most important factor.
JMHO.
