My take is that they will certainly increase over time but at a comparable rate to common CVE shares. You can make more by exericsing them and either sell the converted CVE shares or keep them in your portfolio to average down your commons share price and add more to your dividend returns. All depends on the circumstances but say you had 200 warrants at $3.09 and could either sell for 3+ X value or buy 200 shares of CVE at 6.54 or roughly $11 less than current market valuie. In this case, exercising the warrants is better than selling them. Hanging onto them to sell later may still not be as good as exercising them if they both go up at comprable rates.
There is no cost to exercising them because that option does not exist on-line. You have to call an agent at your investment insitution. You can sell them on-line for the normal trading fee.
