RE:Uranium sector monitors evolving Kazakh situation

RE:Uranium sector monitors evolving Kazakh situation

I've just jumped ship yesterday. Sold all my Kazatomprom and bought Cameco.

The uranium story is in tact. Maybe even stronger. But if you were a nuclear power station operator looking to sign a new long-term contract, you'd surely be having some concerns over Kazatomprom now. They're majority owned by the Kazak government, which is a far from politically stable situation.

One third of Cameco's production also comes from its JV with KAP, in Kazakhstan - but then they have the ability to turn on more Canadian production when / if they need to, so are relatively immune.

I wonder how many other investors ~ private and insti - will similarly look to jump ship now.
Pleasingly there's already a 3.56% divergence in performance today....
