RE:Exit conditions or exit price? YES! THIS IS THE RIGHT QUESTION!
Finally some good board discussions!
I agree this is not about a price point but looking at the conditions that provide optimal returns.
I also agree it's a good hobby. Let's be honest my banks and the divy and security is just plain boring.
But now we are talking the right question...what are the conditions...not a predetermined price!
I think this comes back to the data investment/capex, demand, inventory, capacity...really so many things to look at.
I'm not sure anyone has that answer yet. It's like predicting the final score of a ball game in the middle of the 1st inning with the score 0-0

Barring a major demand collapse, we gonna short a few barrels soon. I have a notional timeframe in mind but if the market conditions continue to point to a shortage at the time, there's no need to sell.
the other half of it is.... It's not just "investing" for a lot of folks here it's a hobby. Ya you can walk away because you have enough money but then what? You going to stop paying attention to the world around you? I'll build a passive income stream from stable blue chips, but I figure I'll always dabble in the BTEs of the world
