RE:Indonesia export tax considered for Ni run could have legsChina was lured into the Indonesian snakepit with the promise of access to vast amounts of cheap nickel ore to fuel their NPI-based SS production. Now the snake is wrapped around China's neck with fangs bared. It will suck capital out of China to build out its Ni-based industrial complex, and cash in on royalties and taxes all the way up the product chain. In retrospect, China may have been better off striking JV deals with Russia's NILSY to lock-in Ni supplies.
