Yes - agreed that someone will do so one day. Fortunately for us, right now, CRRX has scooped up the easiest targets and built a leadership role in a market too fragmented and too small to entice the large companies.
Even if Amazon or Walmart wants in the Canadian game, they would need to take out Shoppers and that only gets them 8% of the market while we have over 20%.
Then Amazon or Walmart (or whoever) would need to go on the mom/pop offensive which seems like a lot of work for them. Too much work IMO.
Amazon or Walmart or others ... are likely to wait for it and just buy CRRX one day. Maybe then they pick up an international play rather than just a Canadian play. In the meantime, the big boys will focus on the larger American market or other bigger global markets. Canada is likely of no interest right now.
With each passing day - CRRX will get larger and make it even more difficult for new entrants. Just what I'm seeing.
