Tremendous hidden value I'm looking at the financials and of course I noticed how operating income is slightly lower than last year of which it has to do with the temporary acquisition related expenses which will terminate by end of 2022.
Operating income before changes in acquisition related expenses has increased but so has the share count. I decided to look deeper into the financials and more importantly to changes in sga expenses. You'll notice that much of these changes has a lot to do with changes in share price performance. For instance, performance share unit (psu) expenses have increased considerably in fiscal 21 and the current quarter. Management estimates that for every $0.01 change in share price corresponds to an approximate change of 27k in compensation expenses. Other factors also need to be included as a result of targeted revenue performance achievements. Since the average share price increased in Q1 relative to Q4 then compensation expenses increased. These expenses will fluctuate from +/- depending on future share price performance.
As of Q1 I have operating income of $ 1,127 and compensation related expenses of $1,440. If share price remains suppressed in Q2 then these compensation related expense would drop significantly as they are highly variable. This would potentially add $1.44m in operating income if these expenses are nil in Q2. This is something to keep in mind when determining its potential operating income for the current fiscal year. In any case I find tremendous value at current prices and I believe now is the time to buy/accumulate.
