RE:CormarkHi Patroller. This happens all the time. Cormark probably lilned up two investors, one who wanted that many shares and one that wanted to sell that many shares and did the transaction for them at whatever the stock price was at that time.
Also, I'm not saying you are in this group Patroller, but on all the message boards I read, there are always comments about, for instance, CIBC accumulating shares because they are listed as 'buyers' on the trade recaps. In this case, CIBC is just the firm transacting on behalf of their client. THey aren't accumulating the shares in their own house account. The 'client' may be one of the CIBC inestment managers or a brokerage client but it's more likely an investor outside the firm that they are just executing for (eg. a mutual fund). Knowing who is executing the transactions are of limited value when assessing if anyone is accumulating or dumping shares.
