Eventually the car OEMwill need cybersecurity on all their ECUs. ECUs in cars are consolidating from 100s to 20s now, but if you look at their connected architecture all the ECUs are interconnected and can talk to cloud. This is a big problem in future...Basically every ECU will need cybersecurity running inside the operating system. .So if you have a ECU running linux/android/ios, you will need to protect that ECU.
This is where BB Cylance will be very useful. You will need somethign that can work off-cloud and very light.
This is why Blackberry didn't include cylance + qnx in one signel package. They want OEM to buy cylance per car. With IVY you will maybe be able to launch cylance on your car.
Eventaully all the OEM(regardless if you use QNX) roads lead to BB cylance cybersecurity!! Lot of people internally discuss this. This is one of the reason they want to make BB american....because only BB can do this job.
