Assessment

Assessment

The next expected earnings report is March 11th. EPS is expected to be $1.17, EBITDA $112.8M and sales $1.25B based on analyst estimates. PBH did slightly beat on sales and EPS estimates but we believe weakness in shares was more related to supply chain and inflation concerns which affected growth rates. Weakness in airlines and cruise industries also impacted results and may continue to in the short-term. However, we think these are short-term issues. Overall, PBH continues to show good growth and has a strong track record of dividend growth. We prefer to look at forward P/E ratios as they have more meaning related to the future value of the company. At 23x forward earnings shares are trading within the historical average. This figure has come down significantly from highs of 31x in July while shares are trading near all-time highs. We would view this as a positive sign from a valuation standpoint.
