Hemp the next soy? Planet Based Foods ( $PBF.C) is a plant-based burger company that recently IPO'd that I really think could take off.
I've been interested in $PFB since I heard about their IPO. The main reason why I was interested in investing early is because the company uses hemp protein to make their plant-based meats.
I think Hemp could become a consumer favorite because people usually eat plant-based foods because they are thinking of the environment or their health. Hemp trumps other plants used in plant-based meats in both of these areas.
Environmentally, hemp regenerates the solid that it is grown in. $PBF is leaning into this as a marketing point, letting consumers know that by buying their products they are actually helping to regenerate the planet.
Nutritionally Hemp has a lot of nutrients that other protein-rich plants do not. On their investor's deck they have a slide comparing their burger to Impossible's which clearly shows that $PBF's is much healthier → https://planetbasedfoods.com/pages/investors
If hemp protein catches on like I think it could, $0.35 (i.e. the current price) would be a steal for a share in $PBF
