Thanks Ebenizer for that article about Namibian off shore oil discoveries by Shell and Total and that off shore appears to be the way oil exploration is going. Sad to say, this jives with everything I have been reading and coming across.

Awhile ago it appeared that off shore drilling was on the ropes as Hornbeck and other offshore drillers went bankrupt. However today it appears it is making a stunning comeback - particularly in Turd World countries.

Why? it eliminates so many problems, costs, time, political, and environmental issues. No pesky tribes to deal with, crazed radical environmentalists, thieves, insurrectionists, bandits, Russians, Chinese, etc. Also no expensive, difficult, time consuming pipelines, roads, railroads, etc to build. Oil freighters just pull up to the off shore platforms, fill up, and off they go to the highest bidder!

was it really necessary to say "turd" world countries?
