Surge Energy Inc. is a Canada-based oil focused exploration and production (E&P) company. The Company's business consists of the exploration, development and production of oil and gas from properties in Western Canada. It holds focused and operated light and medium gravity crude oil properties in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, characterized by large oil in place crude oil reservoirs with low recovery factors. It offers exposure to two of the five conventional oil growth plays in Canada: the Sparky and SE Saskatchewan. It holds a dominant land position and is drilling a mix of horizontal multi-frac and horizontal multi-lateral wells in the Sparky area. Sparky is a large, well established oil producing fairway in Western Canada. SE Saskatchewan is a focused operated asset base with light oil operating netbacks. SE Saskatchewan operates low-cost wells with short payouts and offers potential for continued area consolidation.

RE:RE:RE:CEO is a gambler & needs to be controlled.

Haha yah It depends if that car is a truck and can make you more money than without.

You can take that analogy a bit further, don't sell your old house when the market is down but be patient and live in it. Then if your a smart invester get a morgage on a new house when house prices are very low. Then sell that old house when prices are high. (Astra Assets are the new house, and greater sawn is the old house)

That will help pay for the new house. Anyhow what Paul has done with Surge Energy is amazing he's obviously been in this business long enough to know the cycles and I'm not worried about the debt at all, given the non core assets they have.

Once debt is gone it will be gone in a flash and by that time I will wish I invested earlier.
