Are 38000+ Patents a Game Changer? Don't usually look at Stockhouse editorials. Depending on what device you're using they appear at bottom of the page in some fashion. Looking at the comments section provided with the editorials it looks like not many either care to look or opine.
Here's the SH editorial on the announcement of MFST acquiring Activision. What struck me most was the timelines. This is just the announcement that the official takeover is sometime next year, so probably looking at a year and a half from now, just a guess. That is if they can get past regulators, governmental scrutiny, anti- trust lawyers, etc. Why? Because it's a game changer? People worry MFST becomes a monopoly? Personally I expect the takeover to be delayed along the way, if happens at all.
And we wonder why the sale of 38000+ patents is taking so long. Does BB delay indicate one buyer gaining a serious advantage plus a gauntlet of hurdles to jump over? Is it fair to compare our situation with the time delays that may befall MSFT in the near future? Short read...
