Jack never won the Porter Cup, but son Gary did! Those of you following along know the Porter Cup up in Lewiston is a favorite of mine. A decorated list of victors including "Gentle Ben", "Leftie" and of course Nathaniel Crosby ( see the story of my emergency carry down the 10th fairway ).
I was so pleased when young Gary managed to win the Porter Cup. Though Gary managed an extra hole affair during regular PGA play, he never managed to add a 74th PGA victory to the Nicklaus name.
Please know that TOTAL volume on Spectral yesterday was 236K shares up in Canada vs. the 115K showing on the TSE for most retailers to see. The Dark Pools were alive yesteday with trades as high as .295 CAD and a BIG majority of the "ASK hits" being diverting off the TSE. This process is quite frequrent and interesting as it "reduces any mo-mo" and acts as a form of "market manipulation".
I am a long time Jack fan and followed him from the time he won back to back US AM's. I'm not too much of a player anymore, at one time I could put up some numbers, but they were the result of A LOT of play. As I age, the par 3 tracks best suit my arthritic swing. Ironically, the best game I ever played was at Hyde Park up in Niagara Falls, not my best score, but my best game in gusty, Texas-like confditions.
Yesterday's activity and Spectral's finish in the green reminds me of my first memories of the Golden Bear. Standing in the 18th fairway ( Holly ) in the final round of the 1963 Masters, Jack asked caddy Willie Peterson, "Willie, how many of those 1's on the leaderboard are red"? ... Willie replied, "Just you boss"
Substitute green for red and you have the "Coles Notes" ( some Canadiena ) on EDT trade up in Canada yesterday. Just a small benefit to add to cheap financing and accumulation when a market cap is devastated, but certainly not beyond repair. The focussed ownership and united effort of those on the board ( past and present ) along with their respective connected ownership interests make this a curious case study and one with multiple ties to both Patient Home and Trillium. Never a promise or guarantee, but we must use history and fact when analyzing situations... especially when extreme control exists.
Long EDTXF... long the Golden Bear!
