Drilling Continues i did some RESEARCH I am writing about
BCM Resources (B), a Canadian exploration company focused on exploring the Thompson Knolls (TK) property a porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum project in southwestern Utah.
The TK project is a pure Greenfield play that hosts a potential large-scale tier 1 discovery, and is in close proximity to the world-renowned
Bingham Canyon deposit, which is one of the most robust porphyry copper-gold systems in the world. The TK property is situated in the Great Basin range, which is host to a number of very large porphyry deposits including Bingham Canyon, Phoenix, Robinson and Yerrington.
Leading the BCM geological team is
Dr. Sergei Diakov, a renowned geologist credited with discovering
Oyu Tolgoi, the world –class porphyry copper-gold deposit in Mongolia, while working for BHP. More recently, Dr. Diakov led the AngloGold Ashanti exploration team to a significant Porphyry Copper-Gold discovery,
Nuevo Chaquiro, in Colombia.
Recent studies conducted by BCM have presented compelling geological, geochemical and geophysical evidence that a large porphyry target is present at Thompson Knolls. The Company has used this data to vector in on high-grade drill targets which they are actively drilling. There was a recent report that drill hole TK-3 hit mineralized quartz-monzonite porphyry (QMP) intrusive, validating the program concept of intercepting under the cover of an altered mineralized intrusive, displaying classic porphyry style alteration and mineralization.
