RE:RE:Cathie Woods ARK buying more shres of PYRShare price has nothing to do with it. Shares are not bought and sold based on a company's share price, but only based on:
1/ the quarterly rebalance
2/ daily inflows into the ETF by buyers.
ARK PRNT's quarterly rebalance was after-market last Thursday. The PRNT ETF tracks an underlying index, in this case made by Solactive. Go here and click "index composition":
https://www.solactive.com/?s=3dprnt&index=DE000SLA1A36 The Solactive index does a quarterly recalc, and in this case they improved PYR's share total metric to 0.065611. Using that metric, ARK bought shares to match, and picked up about 38.5k more shares. Current ARK holding is 143,307 shares, up from 106,738 shares last Thursday.
PYR got a bump in the fund composition to 0.065611 from 0.047966.
That is an approximate 36% increase.
