Me and my old lady were watching telly a few days ago, and saw all the headlines about empty shelves in grocery stores. The next day I did a grocery + hardware store run, and my wife was worried we might not get half the stuff on our list. The shelves were freakin' packed, the same as they always have been. I'm not saying things will stay the same headed into the coming weeks, but when facts on the ground don't match political stances, it leads all of us into deeper & deeper mistrust.

Small correction on Patrick Brazeau's past as a fighter: He was into MMA, but his specialty was karate, where he had achieved his black belt. Brazeau figured that Trudeau wasn't able to take a punch, and would wimp out after he'd taken a couple of shots. As so many others have done, he underestimated the kid.
