The US is moving towards
The US is moving towardstotal State participation even if it is one State at a time.
Sadly for supporters and investors of the greenrush, current government are just ornery and contrary despite the fact that reps of both parties are pro-pot.
Brave investors and business people are in an uphill battle with the overzealous anti-pot crusaders and protectors of the public or silent investors just waiting to be positioned before they stand up to be counted.
I don't know how long the octegenarians and near octegenarians think they are going to drive the political bus but the system is screaming for some new young blood, even a third party to break the stalemates that are crippling getting good legislation done.
US politicians have the opportunity to do something rational and pass some good legislation such that the rules are the same for every State in regards to cannabinoid use, sales and production.
First they need decriminalization at the Federal level where the Feds have marijuana wrongly categorized with highly addictive narcotics and then they need to clear the way for allowing access to all of the tools available to every other type of business in the US.
The Feds do have a handshake agreement to let pro pot States administer justice and so far it seems that the Feds have honoured their staying out of the States that are accepting pot use for medical use and adult rec use.
I can't help but wonder how much of an influence the gangs and cartels have over legalizing supplying consumers with a new vice that most of the voting public are in favour of.
If the bad guys are still swaying the vote under threat of harm to law and policy makers, that would be a reasonable explanation of why we can't get this to advance and open this up to legal players that bring safety by inspection, tracking and control such that Fentanyl laced weed becomes non-existant.
Because of the unwillingness of both parties to swing the doors open to a marijuana greenrush, the legal aspect of the industry don't look much different from the black market aspect. Both sides are sneaking around with bags of cash because cannabis can't get a fair shake and level playing field with every other business on US soil.
Law and policy makers seem to be bucking progress all the way with excessive control and over-regulation of the new vice and newly accepted medical treatment benefit determined by consumers. Legal pot business brings safety for consumers while providing a healthier choice for rec use and possibly safer treatment for consumers using this for health relief.
Joe and Nancy aren't going to live forever or have the mental capacity or Mitch for that matter!
There are a lot of positives for a legal thriving cannabinoid business like safety, tax revenue to use for good deeds and a healthier vice for consumers to beverage alcohol and pharmadrugs.
