>C$20K/encumbered patent seems like a good deal. Media speculation was that the deal would fetch C$400M. It generated US$600M (~C$765M).

Now that capital can be put to work against the core businesses. Not sure why it should take 6 - 8 months to close due to regulatory approval requirements.
