I also have Rivers, can't wait to see what Rivers & Scottts Miracle grow will show us in the future. I am all in in this industry and have never waivered. This clown has never sold because hasn't needed too. The clown knows the geanie is out of the bottle and it will never go back in the bottle. Canopy is where the clown sees the greatest act in the center circle in the three ring tent. Peace to all the clowns!
Congrats to an astute investor! Could'a been my experience with Canopy. Got in way back in the Bedrocan days and when Canopy came calling, I liked the story, seemingly against the grain as the sp dropped to the $1.50 range. Screwed on my cajones and bought more.
Canopy has had rebounds to old highs or near to old highs and I was going to double or triple my sharecount but figured that Acreage Holdings was the best way to play it. Sadly I was too enthusiastic about it for the way things turned out but I still think that Canopy needs and will honour the revisited agreement for a m&a when the US Feds trigger a greenrush.
I have desperately been averaging down on the premise that the value of Acreage is just unrecognized and basically unknown to most investors. When the Feds decriminalize marijuana from their heavy narcotics penaltys the greenrush will be officially triggered and Non US players will be planting their flags on US soil as legitimate, equal treatment potpreneurs to bring their know-how to American soil.
At current shareprices for Acreage Holdings, it is a segway to shares of Canopy which I see rebounding to old highs or higher because US investors like what Canopy is doing and they know that accessing that huge US marketplace will turn red ink to black.
Today CGC aka Canopy Growth aka WEED is currently trading about 4 times the volume on the Nasdaq as WEED is trading on the TSX. Brave US investors are risking Fed problems for first strike advantage of being shareholders in a world class company that doesn't feel welcome on US soil. Taking the decision away from the Feds to seize assets and charge shareholders as criminals is too much risk for Non American potpreneurs who are protecting their shareholders until such time as the risk is gone.
The Canopy Acreage deal is inked and money has changed hands. All that is left is for the m&a to happen and the cost is Canopy printing more shares to replace Acreage shares with to launch Canopy Growth USA.
Canopy has taken care of the working capital issue through Big Brother Constellation Brands and are most likely to succeed and reign in the survivors circle.
Linton took a dream and built it into a viable business plan. The dreamer got pushed aside so the business manager's could take Canopy from the dreamstage to a fiscally responsible entity and the US marketplace is the goal.
At current Acreage Holdings shareprices, I see a huge return for fixed and floating sp holders and an easy way to lock up Canopy shares with so much upside potential when the uncertainty is removed from the US marketplace.
