RE:Do NOT selll..........!

RE:Do NOT selll..........!Hmm... Dupont spinner?  And he calls that fishing?

While hiking in to an 8,000' lake resting above the Eastern Escarpment of the Sierra Nevada, and following my encounteri with a mama bear and her cub, I noticed a number of black carpenter ants on the trail, so when I reached Bull lake and asked the half dozen totally, skunked spin casters lining it's shore about their luck; I set up camp and then tied a black ant pattern on my floating fly line.

One thing about fly casting at a small lake - everybody notices.  And much to my pleasure they also noticed that a Paiute Cutthroat Trout hit the fly a spit second after it settled on the water.  After releasing the beautiful fish, prettier than a Golden IMO, I should have just turned back to my camp and started dinner, but greed took hold of me and in spite of another half hour of casts, no further action was had until the next morning.

True story & there's a moral or lesson to be applied here, but I’ll be damned if I know what it is.
