RE:How is this for a headline...

RE:How is this for a headline...But the prison system is a huge moneymaker for corporations and criminality for pot posession keeps them full and profitable.

That is the reason for the reluctance to changing imho.

Cannabinoid use is a growing trend for adult rec vice as a healthier alternative to beverage alcohol and we are just scraping the surface for cannabinoids and their health benefits.

The health benefit issue has to jump through significant hoops to prove any healthful claims that people are touting as beneficial.

Such uniqueness as a vice and a pharmaceutical treatment.  With rapid approvals happening for Covid treatment, cannabinoids studys are pushing their theory of being useful for treatment and if the sci/bio community proves that there is something to it, we could skip the line and get approvals for medical usage.

Cannabinoids are getting more recognition for all kinds of ailments since the old glaucoma days as more studies are finding more claims of benefit.  I like the claims of being used to curb appetite which is contrary to the familiar munchies that most are so aware of.

No doubt Charlottes Web went through the hoops of proper medical testing to be approved for seizure treatment and rapid approval is probably getting easier to get because of the long history of almost nil deaths attributed to cannabinoid consumption.

Compare that to alcohol and oxy, pot and hemp look like a saviour sku that is making huge gains at a very difficult time for society with the pandemic having the fearful reaching for some form of escape or distraction like they do when they are fearful for what the future holds.

Perlmutter is tabling another SAFE bill to get banking approval for marijuana businesses to be able to access normal banking tools.  It is coming with some kind of American fairness to International trade bill.  I wish they would quit attaching it to some long winded bill and put it up as a stand-alone bill.  It has already been forwarded to the senate 5 times and stalled out every  time.

It is amazing to see what US MSOs and pot companies have done without all of the normal tools available to every other business with reference to banking and brokering.  The US marketplace is big enough that they are showing profits by navigating around all the rules and laws unlike Canadian LPs who are dealing with law and policy makers that are hellbent to protect us from ourselves with a bunch of very stupid rules and guidelines considering we are one of the first and leading innovators of bringing pot into the mainstream.
