RE:Joins World Hydrogen Council

RE:Joins World Hydrogen CouncilI cannot understand how hydrogen can be used in an internal combustion engine that is at best 30% efficient. Green hydrogen has to be produced from electricity and if that is done why not just use the electricity to charge electric cars which are far more efficient. Hyrdrodgen has to be compressed up to app 10,000 kpa and stored in high pressure cylinders and that adds to the cost and reduces the efficiency of the operation. At present most hydrogen used in industry is to make ammonia (NH3) for fertilizer and for cracking units in refineries to convert heavy oil to gasoline and other fuels. Natural gas reforming is used to supply the hydrogen and there's no spare hydrogen in these processes.
