Already the province is inching slowly towards changing the Canadian Constitution and sovereignty. Bill 21 and 96 erode anglophones rights in Quebec and it won't be long until Quebec will demand soverignty and then it's goodbye Utica Shale for us. The courts will rule against us and the province will become a banana republic. Everything is on the table here. Canada needs Quebec moe than Quebec needs Canada. No political party wants to rock the boat and upset the Frenchies.
Don't feet too bad, as even us Canadians didn't foresee this happening.
I was here since the beginning, and I had hope but I don't have any now. I don't get excited when the stock moves, because I "think" I know what will happen. My goal is to wait out for the settlement and then I'm out. I don't want to wait around and invest hope and energy into the development of the oil shale, or the Porcupine Hills of SK.
I believe the UTICA will be developed someday but not by QEC. Quebec will take over the rights and do the development under a provincial plan.
