RE:MysteryKSI Lisims LNG idea was thought about 10 years ago. It takes time, just like with the windfarm Northland is pursuing. Piles of douments, early public engagement, engineering stuff, benefit for other First Nations and so forth. LNG's of any size and large windfarms don't go up over-night especially in sensitive ecological areas.
Specific destinations for windfarm electricity or LNG are confidential. Obviously a demand is anticipated from someone. Just don't build something worth billions, then search for a buyer.
The LNG power will come from hydro. So the mystery continues for the Hecate Strait wind project. And as we see below in the LNG report, many things must be addressed whether for LNG or a windfarm. All this takes time.
I look at renewable companies around the world, just amazing things about hydrogen, ammonia for fertilizer. marine methanol, etc. Maybe don't have the expertise here, but companies around the world can be invited to build. Northland's in touch with such firms by virtue of developing renewable energy in Europe and Asia.
Anyway for the LNG project---
Electricity comment, (fueled by hydro power).-
Fueled by clean British Columbia hydropower and supplied by low carbon Canadian natural gas, Ksi Lisims LNG will achieve one of the world's lowest unit carbon emissions rates for a large-scale LNG export project, making net zero both feasible and achievable.
