RE:cryin an whininI’m not whining, I’m telling you why I believe the stock is lagging. I sold half my remaining yesterday and bought CVE. I’m obviously not the only one who thinks they’re going in the wrong direction. SU overvalued relative to CVE although perhaps under relative to CNQ. Clearly there’s only 2 kinds of investors Suncor can attract relative to peers who are also making money hand over fist. 1, dividend investors. Very straightforward and could take the SP to $50. 2, Suncor 2.0. For example, buy a large gas producer and pledge to supply gasoline with carbon neutral natural gas by 2030. To do that, they’ll need cash, cash that is currently being applied to buybacks. Their approach given the grim imo 20 year outlook is too simplistic and inadequate. Common sense - go to the Toyota dealerships. The electric models are on 2 year wait list. The hybrids 6-12 months. Gas models - plenty of those. And that’s nothing, the Hybrid Sequoia, Tundra and 4 runner haven’t hit the showrooms yet. YMMV.
