Vancouver-based licensed producer THC Biomed has launched an edible that might just be the most affordable in the country.
THC KISS Cannabis Biscuits are now available direct to consumers through the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) online and wholesale to retail stores in the province.
Each pack contains 10 mg of THC and retails for $2.95.
In a news release, the company reported the full-spectrum biscuits, which are available in cinnamon or cocoa flavours, are currently the lowest priced edibles available through the OCS, the world’s largest cannabis supplier.
First licensed to deal with cannabis in 2013 under a Health Canada Section 56 exemption, THC BioMed has been a licensed producer under the current regime since 2016.
John Miller, president and CEO of THC BioMed, said the company will soon be launching a new brand called High Expectations, which will carry high potency cultivars with a minimum THC content of 24 per cent.
While the biscuits are currently the most affordable edible available through the OCS, they are followed by two beverages from Veryvell.
The HEXO-produced drinks also retail for $2.95 and contain a 1:1 ratio of 2.5 mg of THC and CBD. A third option from Veryvell is its CBD-forward strawberry hibiscus sparkling water. Retailing for the same price, the drink contains 15 mg of CBD and 0.5 mg of THC.
The next most affordable edible that contains 10 mg THC is from Alberta-based Phat420.
