to Jim Carr, Chair of Standing Committee on Public SafetyAt the February 2, 2022 Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security, Dane Lloyd... [referring to Patriot One Technologies] said ...
“Its using artificial intelligence and radar scanning... “it has clients across the U.S. including the U.S. gov't, major casinos, schools as a way to identify through artificial intelligence and radar when there is a concealed weapon’s being involved. "
It’s important that you be made aware that the radar technology Patriot One developed was mothballed by Patriot One after the FCC dismissed its only radar application in Oct. 2020 (attached is a copy of the dismissal letter- see FCC letter.PDF). Since that time all reference to its radar device have been removed from the company website. The reference to clients such as the U.S. gov't major casinos, schools is misleading in itself. Patriot One had a test project recently in a U.S. gov't building employee entrance. Moreover, at one time Patriot One had trials in two casinos and a couple schools including one that had an event center installation outside the entrance in Ohio. Incidentally, while the original innovation seeked to identify the type of concealed weapon, the company has since removed reference to identification of specific concealed weapons from its vocabulary. While it would be nice to think that this Canadian company is on the cusp of technological innovation, sadly as a shareholder for over three years I don’t see much market penetration other than that detailed above.
Please remind Mr. Lloyd to check the facts before he communicates publicly. What he said about Patriot One is misleading.
Sincerely
Kevin Garski
