OT: End of story, end of protests.
OT: End of story, end of protests.Common sense.
I always thought that if you wished to protest, you had a right to stand or march in the street, holding a sign expressing your views, until you got tired or cold and then went home. Placing barricades in the street, however, is an act of revolution not protest, regardless of the nature or material used to create the blockage.
If a man brandishes a gun and threatens to shoot another (a crime), then after the police disarm the violator, do they then give him the gun back? The gun was used as a weapon in the commission of a crime. Why is that any different than returning the burglar’s tools?
I got solution for the Right-wing, nut-case truckers protest in Canada and elsewhere, and it’s really simple and fair. You use a truck as a weapon to force others to do your bidding and you violate the law; you then lose the truck. It becomes government surplus to be sold at auction, the proceeds repaying the government for costs. End of story, end of protests.
