RE:RE:Some somber thinking! Probe is about to be bought out. JuniorMiner, you are a thoughtful and quality contributor to our blog. It seems like you have a positive history with Dave and his team. That is encouraging to know.
As a gold investor for many years I just find the project so robust and so well positioned to capture much more appreciation than its showing.
A friend said that Probe Mines said the sale, while good for shareholders, management were very weak in negotiations. He said and I’m not sure if it’s true that Probe Mines accepted the GOLDCORP offer before asking shareholders to agree. They agreed to the buyout with a large breakup fee so no other interested parties could counter Bid. If this is true then we better be careful.
My main concern is that analyst coverage of Probe is super weak. I was told that Probe Metals chose to work with a 2 man investment banker shop and Ran off the main investment bankers who have research departments. It really is amazing how this golden and valuable company has had NO MARKETING TO EXPOSE ITS ASSETS.
Junior Miner, I think the blog should know why so little press or marketing to its shareholders is so neglected. I read a few people saying that they don’t need marketing. IMHO, EVERY COMPANY needs to expose their goods so that shareholders get a good price in the market place.
