Skeena Resources Limited is a precious metals developer that is focused on advancing the Eskay Creek Gold-Silver Project, a past producing mine located in the Golden Triangle in British Columbia, Canada. Eskay Creek represents one of the highest-grade and lowest cost open-pit precious metals mines in the world, with substantial silver by-product production. It also owns the past-producing Snip gold mine (Snip). A valid sentiment - but I seem to recall that the claim was allowed to lapse under Barrick's watch.  If you find out differently, let us know - but I think that I am correct in this.
Makes some sense - with a closed mine...but on-going maintenance costs...who wouldn't want to reduce the ongoing costs?  Particularly if Barrick knew that it was "dead-rock" under the lake. (otherwise why would they have chosen it as their waste-rock dump?
Easy to sit there and play the blame-game...when the real issue is resolving this mess!
