That is very interesting news.  I've done some poking around on the IIFX (Innovation Institute for Fan Experience) site and noticed a few 'coincidences'.

So PAT is a DIAMOND Level sponsor... along with INTEL.  The 'media sponsors' include:
-Athletic Business
-Pan Stadia & Arena Management
-SecurityMagazine.com

Some of the earlier but recent topics addresed by IIFX include:
-Town Hall – “What’s Going on with Fan Behavior? Challenges and Solutions”

-Campus Safety - Preparing for the Return of Interscholastic Athletics and After School Activities.

Wasn't PAT involved with an Ohio School District?  And some other University in North Dakota?

Not to mention the AI system they have delevoled to detect fights in crowds and other unruley fan behaviour.

Go back through all the old news releases and you'll see how the dots all line up quite reasonably.
