RE:RE:RE:Ellis Martin Report: Western Copper and Gold !Yes. Share price needs to be within 40% of acquisition price...you will find very few examples of anything higher than that. This means we need about $4 usd or so in order to hit $6 usd Sooner target!
take solace in the fact that Paul was trying to say the current share price is well below a price tag that would still be a great deal for Rio....so it seems he is trying to get even the most conservative investor to get in board with a slam dunk double (again which is still a great deal for Rio).
Pretty clear path towards $6 usd...a very murky path to double digits...unless another bidder enters...
im also in the camp that a reasonable acquisition price range has been agreed upon (let's say $700M -$1B usd for hypothetical purposes) ....then I do think Rio and WRN would have to determine next steps to get WRN market cap up to $600M. I think a strong further signal towards another round of collaboration might do the trick! As I've said many times....We won't see an announcement stating Rio has agreed to acquire WRN for $800M usd if we are trading at $300M immediately prior to the announcement IMO
