Downtown Ottawa is not essential to the Canadian economy. Are the jobs of unionized car makers more important than those who have been effectively fired because of their refusal to be coerced into vaccination?
It's sad that politicians are circling the wagons instead of looking seriously at ending the useless mandates that have had zero effect on stopping Covid, especially Trudeau's ridiculous trucker mandate. What do these politicians think will happen if they shut down this protest? What is there left for these Canadians to do if the government refuses to listen to them? Will these tyrannical measures lead to something worse?
The lying by the media and the government needs to stop. They've lost all trust in their protection of the elitist class.

No doubt with Ontario coming into an election, Ford would have had no choice but to do what he did. I think they tried to stall for a few days but in the end he is a politician and only cares about holding onto power. Regardless, rather FF Ford than Lieberals or NDP. I do not agree with it but is is what it is.
As for the Turd, well looks like thay want 100% + vaccinations.
This is never going to stop. They will come after your pets and probably even imbilical cords to protect the unborn. Way too much power. Canadians have spoken, but government is not listening.
Like others have said, they double down on stupidity and dont move off their position. I suspect that the division will turn very hard as more and more places lift restrictions while we wallow in stupidity.
I myself am sick and tired of the political wrangling this government does. Constant blame on opposition parties that don't toe the Lieberal line. The scandals, the abuse of power, the lies, the division, yada, yada, yada while the country goes down the drain.
Time to start looking into living elsewhere for the few remaining years I have.
