RE:Video - HPQ Silicon NDA & Material Request From A World Leaddevelopbc wrote:
Today HPQ Silicon announced that they have Signed an NDA and Received a Request for 4N Silicon Material Samples from a World Leading High-Performance Materials Company
CEO Bernard Tourillon commented:“We were approached by a representative of the high-performance material company seeking samples of our 4N silicon material to test as feedstock to make silicon nitride ceramics . This is just one example of the many niche market applications that production from our PUREVAP™ QRR process can potentially supply. High Purity Silicon’s (4n+) potential is undeniable and generating serious industry interest, so our timing could not be better as this sample request from the HPMC confirms awareness of our unique silicon production capabilities at the highest enterprise levels across the wo rld..”
Hi developbc...I'm still invested, but had to take some profits before the downturn. Can you clarify for me why a "small" 4N sample cannot be made/delivered now? If HPQ already has the QRR tech, why does HPQ have to wait for the QRR pilot plant to be online first? What am I missing?...Thanks in advance.
Furthermore, based on my interpretation of Bernard's interview (starting at ~16m20s), it sounds like consistent production of future high purity 4N Si is no guarantee & the timeline for its production is anybody's guess. I understand we are in the developmental stages, but the following comments from Bernard engender more questions than confidence for me. He states: "If the system worked in a small amount of time...as long as it (the QRR) produces 4N material, then I'm good & then we can start...".
As a small investor in HPQ, I honestly can't be too surprised why the sp has languished. I think many are just getting frustrated with the yet-to-be-fulfilled promises. I simply want to hear that a validated sample (nano or otherwise) has actually been received by a major player & considered either superior or acceptable. That to me would be news release "worthy", & such a release would no doubt be the day this languishing sp can finally make a "sustainable" move in the right direction. Maybe it's my personal impatience at play here, but it certainly appears impatience has company. Nonetheless, I believe in the science & have maintained a position. JMO. Good luck..
