RE:RE:RE:RE:MD&AThe reduction of covid testing will not adversley effect Microbix. Just opens the door for other testing. And their market is worldwide, not just Canada. They have a very large stable of Qap's that will be in demand and required by many health authorities.
The reason for the government to test less for covid is to allow for testing of other testing was ignored resulting in many people ending up in a worse condition, than if they had been diagnosed early. Antigen test's only show if you have immunity or have had exposure to a pathogen. There is an
especially wide avenue for false negatives in antibody tests, although the particulars depend on which disease and which test are involved. Anybody testing positive with a home test are recommended to get a pcr test to confirm. tasman99 wrote: It does make sense. My only worry about it is they are expecting a uptick in testing when the governments current position is test less. The only way testing is covered and pushed by the healthcare system is if something is really pathogenic (1+% death rate, 3+% hospitalization).
In hospitals they use a different PCR test which is not antigen based to see what the patients carry.
I can see a private market opening up for this type of thing though. Home tests to see what you have purchased at stores.
