Pent up big demand for Poda podsRyan stated on several occasions that Poda could flood the market with pods as the demand is there. What concerned him is the supply constraints going 6 months down the road.
It appears that Eson wanted to flood the market but that Ryan was uncomfortable with this strategy. In youtube videos he often shared his concern and said that he was NOT GOING TO BE BULLIED AROUND.
So who was doing the bullying? I have to believe that it is Eson.
Ryan wants to build a successful business for the long term, not a fly by night operation.
I believe that this was the issue between Eson and Poda, which resulted in a change in strategy with the hiring of Christophe Tepr, the cancelling of the China plant and, letter of intent with Landewyck.
Ryan realizes that the U.S. patent is very valuable and the last thing he was going to do was rush the product into the market to make sales and to fail later on because you could not provide the supply.k Once your name is ruined, you are finished in the market.
The supply and manufacturing issue have now been resolved as Landeywck can pruduce 8 billion pods per year and, they have 6 manufacturing plants in Europle which Poda and use.
In addition, Landewyck has a reputation for quality and for bringing out products to the market in a responsable manner where demand = supply. No flooding of the market.
These are the growing pains in business. It is better to start off on a good footing than to have regrets.
Lets give them a few months to see how the Landeywck deal works out.
My personal opinion
