I think these trends are valid and represent good opportunities for Nextleaf. However, the article is missing part of the picture. I would add the following trends for 2022:
  • Increase pharmaceutical interest for CBD across the word, leading to more serious research.
  • Consequently, increase value in IP.
  • Increase interest for CBD in food and beverage products.
  • Increase chances of legalization in Europe after France presidential election and after US mid-term elections.
  • Increase pressure on illicit markets to increase tax revenues from legal markets.
