In BC the prices of gasoline are much more expensive than any province in Canada. There is a discrepancy of about 13 to 14 cents a liter. This is because of the second carbon tax or low carbon fuel standard exclusive to BC. They basically take the end product of gas or diesel and manipulated chemically over and over again to get it to the right formula the gov wants. Then they can send it to the gas stations. The tax now represents more than a third of cost of fuel and the tax issue will become even greater. By 2030 more than 2 third of the cost of fuel will be taxes. Trudeau said he would add this tax to every province in the country.
