Much respect for those comments about what the amalgamation of these companies means and the weight they will carry.

I have been a big fan of Constellation Brands since the Canopy buy-in. The Constellation team took a look into their future and imagined what cannabinoid beverages would bring and pro-actively decided to be a part of the future as they saw it in relation to their beverage alcohol business by offering $5 billion Canadian to become a significant part of Canopy. Their business accumen shone through and they set the deal up so that they can take control of Canopy, if or when they want. This was huge for Canopy Growth and huge for the whole greenrush industry because that much being invested at one time, shook the very foundation of disbelief in marijuana and hemp being more than a flash in the pan, black market business.

Now it looks like Constellation has eyes for Monster Beverages who have built an amazing business in record time and also looked into their future to see if it will encompass cannabinoids.

If these two strike a deal, the duplicitous management will be leaned out and that alone will generate huge black ink.  All sides will bring their bags of tricks from their respective fields and apply it to Canopy's portfoliio of skus and eventually, somewhere down the road they will exercise considerable clout and lobby to government  for what they need to thrive with equal standing and the same laws and tools of business that every other business is afforded.
