Maybe Setti and Tim got drunk after work one day and said 'it doesn't have to be a $10 bill market, give me $100 mil per year and we are rolling in it'.
Look, Setti didn't find Joe and TAAT by going to the smoke shop in Canada, he probably found them from his research in the reduced risk area at PM. So Setti and Tim probably approached Joe, not the other way around.
Now TIm has possibly thought 'Hey, BT and the millions upon millions spent in the area were right, this will never work' and hustled to JUUL. And since he doesn't have a ton of options, RSU's, etc. like the Cheshire Cat, he could bail with minimal financial impact.
Just my two cents here.....
You might be right and that would explain why BT has totally ignored TAAT.
I have been following TAAT since July 2020 when I first bought TAAT shares. As time passed I began to become concerned about TAAT's potential. The appearance of several "red flag" warning signs was a wake up call for me. My list is long. It's just my opinion and others will disagree. That is fine with me. Each to his own. The markets could not function if everybody had the same opinions.
I think the TAAT plan to dominate the the cigarette market is not going well and revenue growth is probably growing slower than they expected. I expect the financials for Q4 and Annual to show losses growing faster than revenues.
I would not be surprised if Tim became disallusioned with the way TAAT was performing so he decided to move on especially if Juul came looking for a new CEO. Maybe Tim never planned to stay long at TAAT given his extensive experience listed at LinkedIn.
Personally, I think TAAT is destined to become a small niche player in the smoking sector. They could become profitable longer term but I doubt they will ever reach Setti's 8 figure annual revenue numbers prediction and be profitable at the same time anytime soon. Time will tell.
Just my cents too.
