RE:RE:RE:RE:Initial comments from TDWaterhouseHey Sarge, if IPL had been a private company they would've had zero trouble finishing the Heartland project. Think of it like this, if you wanted to buy an investment property but you don't quite have enough cash, would you not cut your spendings for a bit to save up? IPL did the exact same thing, their cash flow was safe and once heartland started they would've had no issues what so ever bumping the dividends back up and then some. Unfortunately most investors invested into this space didn't see the underlying capital appreciation value that Heartland brought nor the patience, even after IPL tried multiple times to show how much extra free cash flow the facility would generate. Unfortunately Brookfield saw this weakness as an opportunity and got the company for essentially a 50% discount imo.
