RE:RE:China Built 40,000km High Speed Rail in 15 years.. including

i see red commie ragingrabies3 is singing CCP propaganda once again.  China is uses high speed rail as propaganda like the olympics.  Like the olympics, high speed railroad are visible show piece that CCP use it as patriotic show piece of china achievement and modernization to fool their un-informed citizen (like ragingrabies3) without telling you the whole story.

China rail over built high speed rail, mostly to ghost cities and low population districts.  China rail is losing 44 million USD PER DAY everyday.  China rail has 900 billion USD in debt, it makes china's Evergrande's 300 billion USD debt look puny. That's not all, High speed rail are built at cost sharing 51%/49% split with local governments, meaning another 900 billion USD rail debt attached to local governments, making a total high speed rail debt at around 1.8 trillion USD.

High speed rail end up mostly to serve the rich passengers. It doesn't help much to low income citizen nor do much on moving raw material and cargo. It means china still relies on trucks to transport coal, grain, and other commodities.  That is why china is having coal crises, too many high speed rail but starving for low speed rail. LOL

China high speed rail is a big pet project to enrich the insiders and ccp propaganda to fool everybody else that china is modern and better than the west, and to entice russia, SE asia to join the silk road dream which is now falling apart.

Just like all other infrastructure projects, it will end up as boondoggle and/or negative consequences. Ex. over building hydro dams have led to mass flooding everywhere while experiencing shortage of fresh water; their disastrous bike sharing program, etc.

15 years / 6.488 =     2.3 years

Imaging building a High Speed Rail from Vancover to Halifax, across the country, including all the bridges and tunnels needed, all in 2.3 years.     Then do it 5 more times.

Trying to put things in Perspective that I can understand.

All just my opinion/view/thinking

Kinder Morgan requested to expand Trans Mountain in 2013.   Canada bought it in 2018.   It's now 2022.    Almost 10 years !!!!!!    And it's still not done.
