Weekly StatsDespite gold nice performance of 2.3% this week, the SP has consolidated in the mid-eighties on fair volume and a volume weighted average price of 85.3 cents. All in all, a boring but healthy week.
Transactions were done by several houses but one new house, the Independant Trading Group (ITG) showed up on Friday buying 200K net shares. The other net buyers were Interactive, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Instinet. Anonymous was the biggest net seller selling 230K, followed by National Bank, RBC, Raymond James and CIBC closing the group but with the second largest number of shares sold with 189K (bought 145K however).
The equity markets are off on Monday but it would be interresting to follow gold, with a weekly close just below $1900, and the other commodities.
