Downfall JMO...Watched it on Netflix last night. A documentary on corporate greed in America with the focus on Boeing sacrificing safety for profit at a cost of 346 lives and billions of dollars. CEO of Boeing couldn't have care less. He ended up with a $61m buyout package and Boeing didn't have to admit to any wrongdoing by paying a $2.5bn fine. Worth a look.
Was wondering if anything comparable to what Boeing did exists with cyber security. I see cyber security companies blaming clients and their employees for many of the breeches and could the culture be that these corporations know their tech doesn't really stop the hacks, but because so much is invested in them, they foist inferior technical security products upon a public that doesn't understand the technology anyways? Greed being the motivator.
I asked myself if my conscience would permit me to invest in a company that dupes the client into thinking their product is world class, top of the heap. Is that marketing? If you're CEO and put clients and potentially a nation at risk for huge profit, would you do it? Would Chen?
Perhaps the cyber security industry needs to be investigated. Too much finding fault AFTER an attack. Companies with lower test results than BB being chosen first. What gives? People cheap or being hoodwinked? Should start another conspiracy theory...lol....
